ISLAMABAD, Dec 15,2023: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar has given the green light to a substantial reduction in the prices of petroleum products.
Reliable sources reveal that the decision, aimed at providing relief to the public, has been approved by the Caretaker Prime Minister.
According to the latest information, the cost of petrol has been slashed by a noteworthy Rs 14 per litre, bringing relief to motorists and commuters alike. Additionally, the price of diesel has witnessed a substantial reduction, with a decrease of Rs 13.50 per liter. Kerosene users will also benefit from a reduced price, as it sees a decrease of Rs 10.14 per litre.
Light Diesel Oil (LDO) has not been left out of the price adjustments, experiencing a significant reduction of Rs 11.29 per liter.
This reduction in petroleum product prices, a decision likely to be welcomed by the general public, is scheduled to be implemented from 12 pm today. As the news circulates, citizens are expected to respond positively to the relief provided by the reduction, impacting various sectors of the economy.
