Senior ECP Officers Ijaz Anwar Chauhan, Ali Asghar Siyal
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Senior ECP Officers -Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh, Ijaz Anwar Chauhan, and Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan, Ali Asghar Siyal, from Grade 20 to Grade 21.
Ijaz Anwar Chauhan is regarded as one of the senior and competent officers of the Election Commission of Pakistan. He has served as Provincial Election Commissioner in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. He oversaw the General Elections 2024 and the Presidential Election 2024 in Punjab, as well as the Local Government Elections Phase I (2022) and Phase II (2023) in Sindh.
In addition, he has performed duties as Returning Officer in several elections, including the Senate General Elections 2024 in Punjab and the Senate General Elections 2021 in Sindh, along with multiple by-elections on vacant seats. Ijaz Anwar Chauhan has also served as Additional Director General (Administration) at the ECP Secretariat in Islamabad and held several key administrative positions, including Regional Election Commissioner Hyderabad in Sindh. He possesses extensive experience in electoral and administrative affairs.
Similarly, Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan, Ali Asghar Syial, has also been promoted from Grade 20 to Grade 21. Previously, he served as Additional Director General (Electoral Rolls) at the ECP Secretariat in Islamabad.
Ali Asghar Siyal has also held the positions of Joint Provincial Election Commissioner (Administration) and (Elections) in Sindh, and has served in several important roles, including Regional Election Commissioner Karachi and Hyderabad. He is also considered among the experienced and capable officers of the Election Commission of Pakistan, with strong expertise in electoral and administrative matters
