Naseer Soomro, One of the World’s Tallest Men, Passes Away at 55

SHIKARPUR March 17, 2025- Naseer Soomro, one of the tallest men in the world, passed away on Monday in Shikarpur after a prolonged illness. He was 55 years old.
Standing at an extraordinary height of 7 feet 9 inches, Soomro had been suffering from a lung disease for several months, which led to repeated hospitalizations due to severe breathing difficulties.
Despite receiving treatment in Karachi last year, where he showed signs of recovery, his health deteriorated in recent months. Continuous medical care could not save him, and he succumbed to his illness. His funeral prayers will be held in Shikarpur on Tuesday morning.
Naseer Soomro gained international recognition for his remarkable height, bringing global attention to Pakistan. In acknowledgment of his unique stature, the government offered him a job with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the national airline.
His passing marks the end of an extraordinary life, leaving behind a legacy that celebrated his incredible physical presence and the pride he brought to his nation.
