May 9 incidents: PTI founder granted 2-day physical remand in 12 cases

ISLAMABAD, Jan 9,2024: The anti-terrorism court approved the two-day physical remand of PTI founder in 12 cases related to May 9. The court ordered PTI founder to be investigated in jail.

Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Malik Ijaz Asif heard 12 cases related to May 9 in Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.

During the hearing, the founder PTI was presented in the court, while the SHOs of all the cases appeared in the court along with the records. Police requested 30-day physical remand of PTI founder.

PTI founder lawyers opposed physical remand. The court reserved its verdict on the request for physical remand, which later on, granted the PTI founder’s two-day physical remand.

The court ordered the police to investigate PTI founder in Adiala Jail.

The PTI founder is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail on judicial remand in the Tosha Khana and 190 million pounds reference. Yesterday, the summons for the release of PTI founder in the cipher case was issued.
