Four suspects of banned outfit arrested in Karachi

KARACHI, Nov 23,2023: In a significant operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh apprehended four terrorists affiliated with a banned outfit near Karachi Police Station Site.

According to the CTD spokesperson, the operation yielded the recovery of 2 9mm pistols and 2 TT pistols from the arrested suspects.

The suspects are alleged to be involved in the killings of Maulana Rahimullah in Pakistan Bazar and Muhammad Shamim in Iqbal Market.

Providing further background, the CTD disclosed that one of the arrested suspects, Amin, had previously served a sentence of 9 years in connection with cases related to murder and attempted murder. Another suspect, Shah Nawaz, had a history of serving 18 months in jail for similar charges.

The successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies in tackling terrorism and maintaining security in the region.
