Federal Secretary Information urges media to play p role in overcoming national challenges

Islamabad, Jan 19,2024:  Stressing the pressing challenges faced by the nation, Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting, Shahira Shahid, expressed her optimism that political parties would recognize the gravity of these issues and incorporate potential solutions into their manifestos.

The Press Information Department (PID) has taken the proactive step of initiating a dialogue to tackle these challenges and seek constructive suggestions to uplift the country.

Speaking during the opening remarks of the second seminar in the “Role of Political Parties in Fair Representation” series organized by the Press Information Department, Shahira Shahid highlighted the importance of these deliberations. She emphasized that the primary goal of these seminars is not only to raise public awareness but also to establish a platform for various stakeholders, including political parties and the media, to engage in confident discussions.

The Information Secretary stressed the need for media involvement in addressing economic issues. Recognizing the media’s vigilant observation of the country’s political landscape, Shahira Shahid called upon the media to actively contribute through this platform to navigate the nation out of its current challenges. She urged media outlets to provide actionable suggestions to improve the prevailing situation.
