Faisalabad Highway gang rape: Woman assaulted in front of husband

Faisalabad: A horrific case of gang rape on a highway has been reported in Faisalabad, Punjab, where armed robbers stopped a married couple near the motorway, tied up the husband, and assaulted his wife.

Police confirmed that the incident occurred two days ago in the Sandal Bar area, and a case has been registered against three suspects for the gang rape of a married woman.

Special police teams, led by SP Iqbal Town, have been formed to arrest the culprits. According to the police spokesperson, the husband contacted authorities 12 hours after the incident, and a thorough investigation is underway.

The victim’s husband, Adnan Masih, stated in his police complaint that on the night of March 25, he and his wife were traveling to their village when armed robbers surrounded them near a motorway bridge in the service area.

The assailants tied him up, took his wife to a nearby field, and gang-raped her. The robbers then stole their mobile phones and cash before fleeing.

A case has been registered at Sandal Bar Police Station. Three investigation teams, supervised by SP Iqbal Town, have been formed to track down and arrest the suspects.
