Karachi DHA Fire Claims Two Lives, Six Injured

KARACHI: Two women died and six others were injured after a fire broke out in a building on Main Korangi Road in DHA Phase 2 on Saturday.

According to rescue officials, a family was present on the building’s first floor when the blaze erupted. Efforts were immediately launched to evacuate those trapped inside.

Eight people were rescued from the affected building and shifted to hospital, where two women later succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

Fire brigade officials said firefighting operations were under way and the building was being checked to ensure no one else remained inside.
