Khuzdar, Balochistan – At least five people, including three children, were killed and several others injured after a school bus was targeted in an explosion in Khuzdar district on Wednesday morning, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a strongly worded statement, the military’s media wing accused India of orchestrating the attack through its proxies in Balochistan, calling it a “cowardly and ghastly act.”

“In yet another cowardly attack planned by the terrorist state of India and executed by its proxies, innocent schoolchildren were targeted today in Khuzdar,” the ISPR said. Initial reports confirmed three children and two adults were killed, with multiple children wounded.

The ISPR alleged that India, after facing setbacks in recent conflicts, was using terrorism as a state policy to destabilize Pakistan. “Indian terror proxies are being employed to target soft victims, including innocent children and civilians,” the statement read.

Authorities vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice, stating, “The planners, abettors, and executors of this Indian-sponsored attack will be hunted down, and India’s heinous face will be exposed before the world.”

Details of the Attack
Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti told reporters that the blast occurred near Khuzdar Zero Point while the bus was carrying students. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, with critically injured individuals being referred to Quetta and Karachi for further treatment.

Police, Frontier Corps (FC), and other law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident. Preliminary reports suggest it may have been a suicide attack, though investigations are ongoing.

Official Condemnations
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack, expressing grief over the deaths of four children (as per his statement) and vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“The beasts who target innocent children deserve no mercy. This barbarity exposes the enemy’s true nature,” Naqvi said. He called the attack a conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan and pledged to thwart such efforts through national unity.
