Sindh Job Portal Launched to Boost Employment Opportunities
The Sindh government has launched the Sindh Job Portal to connect job seekers with government and private sector employment opportunities.
In a significant step towards reducing unemployment, the Sindh government has launched the Sindh Job Portal, providing job listings from both the government and private sectors.
The launch event was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, as well as business leaders and other key figures.
A Job Market for Youth and Skilled Workers
Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon highlighted that 65% of Pakistan’s population consists of youth, and this portal has been specifically designed to address their employment needs. The platform allows:
- Educated individuals and skilled workers to upload their CVs.
- Job listings from government and private sector employers.
- Temporary and contractual job opportunities to be integrated into the system.
Memon further stated that while many young people aim for government jobs, initiatives like the People’s Housing Scheme are also creating employment in the construction and skilled labor sector.
Sindh Chief Minister’s Vision for Employment
Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasized that this initiative aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, ensuring that opportunities meet talent for the economic growth of Sindh.
He encouraged both employers and job seekers to register on the portal, stating that:
- Government job advertisements for grades 1 to 4 will be posted on the portal.
- Recruitment for grades 5 to 15 will be conducted through the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) to ensure transparency.
- The government will actively promote the job portal to encourage widespread registration.
Commitment to Sindh’s Economic Growth
Murad Ali Shah reiterated the PPP government’s commitment to serving the people of Sindh. He acknowledged the challenges faced due to floods and assured that initiatives like the Sindh Job Portal align with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision for economic revival.
He also highlighted that the province has constructed over 800,000 homes for flood victims, a milestone that surpasses the size of 800 small countries worldwide in terms of housing initiatives.
The Sindh Job Portal is a transformative step towards employment generation, connecting job seekers with relevant opportunities across various industries in Sindh.
