Nomination papers of Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other PTI leaders approved

KARACHI, Jan 5,2024: The nomination papers of several leaders from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party have been approved, paving the way for their participation in the upcoming elections.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, a prominent PTI leader, received approval for his nomination papers from National Assembly Constituency NA-214 Umerkot. The Election Tribunal thoroughly examined the appeals filed by candidates against the decisions of the Returning Officer, ultimately giving the green light for Qureshi’s candidacy.

Zain Qureshi, another PTI candidate contesting from NA-214, also secured approval for his nomination papers during the tribunal’s proceedings. Additionally, PTI leader Haleem Adil has been granted permission to participate in the election from NA-238, following the Election Tribunal’s decision.

In another instance, the appeal of PTI candidate Arsalan Khalid from NA-241 was accepted by the tribunal, allowing him to actively participate in the electoral process.

Meanwhile, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the nomination papers of PTI candidate Mian Muhammad Umar from PK-88 Nowshera Provincial Assembly Constituency were successfully approved. The Appellate Tribunal carefully considered the appeal filed by Mian Umar, ensuring that he is eligible to represent PTI in the upcoming elections.
