Election Commission extends date for submission of nomination papers

ISLAMABAD, Dec 22,2023: The Election Commission of Pakistan has extended the date of submission of nomination papers for the general elections to be held on February 8, 2024 by 2 days.

According to the Election Commission announcement, candidates can now submit their nomination papers till December 24.

The declaration said that the political parties can also give the priority list of specific seats by December 24.

The announcement of the Election Commission has said that the scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done from December 25 to 30.

Election symbols will be allotted to the candidates on January 13.

Polling for the general elections will be held on February 8.

It should be noted that after MQM and JUI, PML-N and Balochistan Awami Party also requested the Election Commission to extend the period of submission of nomination papers by 2 days.
