Repatriation Continues: 436,790 illegal Afghan nationals return home

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18,2023: The process of repatriating illegal Afghan nationals from Pakistan persists, with a recent update indicating that a total of 436,790 individuals have returned to Afghanistan thus far.

In the latest repatriation effort, carried out yesterday, 86 families comprising 425 men, 377 women, and 836 children were transported to Afghanistan in 71 vehicles. The concerted effort reflects the collaborative measures taken to address the issue of illegal Afghan nationals residing in Pakistan.

The repatriation initiative aims to ensure the orderly return of individuals who have been residing in Pakistan without proper authorization. The 1638 Afghan citizens repatriated in the latest operation contribute to the overall tally of those returning to their home country.

This ongoing process underscores the commitment of both Pakistan and Afghanistan to manage migration in a structured and lawful manner, fostering cooperation between the two nations.
