JUI leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed foresees political uncertainty until election schedule announced
ISLAMABAD, Dec 1,2023: Senior leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI), Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, has asserted that the nation’s political landscape will remain shrouded in uncertainty until the official election schedule is announced.
In a statement, Ahmed provided insights into the upcoming 2024 elections, predicting that no political party will secure the necessary 172 seats to enter parliament independently. He anticipates that the formation of the next government will necessitate a coalition among various political entities, highlighting the dynamic nature of the electoral landscape.
The JUI leader emphasized the potential for seat adjustments between parties during the electoral process, underscoring the strategic importance of such alliances in the pursuit of common objectives.
Addressing the challenges faced by Balochistan, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed stressed that the resolution of issues goes beyond political interventions. He argued that putting an end to deprivation, a multifaceted problem, requires concerted efforts from various sectors beyond political parties alone.
Furthermore, Ahmed pointed out that the prosperity of Balochistan is not merely confined to parliamentary seats but is intricately linked to the region’s vast mineral reserves. He emphasized that unlocking the potential of these resources is essential for the holistic development and progress of Balochistan.
In a broader economic context, the JUI leader highlighted the pivotal role of Balochistan’s reserves and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in pulling Pakistan out of its economic challenges. According to Ahmed, these valuable assets are integral to navigating the country through its current economic complexities, providing a pathway towards sustainable growth and development.
